Last time we were in Massachusetts, I captured several photos of a striking church a block away from where we were staying. I've loved editing and creating this photo - while never forgetting the unforgettable and deeply personal trip.

Summertime...

In the desert, summertime is not always pleasant. Fact is, it gets - and stays - hotter than hell. But most of us humanoids stay comfortable, thanks to air-conditioned almost everything.

But the reality of the matter is that the heat going on outside is what the desert is all about. There is a dignity and a ruggedness about it. It is a wonder.

Vanderbilt Memories...

I was an undergrad for 2 years at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn. The recent flood made me wonder and remember. You know how it is. My sister sent the following video this morning. I was enthralled, sickened and proud, all at the same time.
