I've been on a reduced beef kick lately - for the first time in my life. So the collection of interesting looking recipes has begun. Ree of "Pioneer Woman", which we never miss has a good one today.
Here it is. Give it a try. I am.

Garrison Keillor shares a delightful poem that started my day off just right. What do you think?
by James TateJust to Feel Human
A single apple grew on our tree, which
was some kind of miracle because it was a
pear tree. We walked around it scratching
our heads. "You want to eat it?" I asked
my wife. "I'd die first," she replied. We
went back into the house. I stood by the
kitchen window and stared at it. I thought
of Adam and Eve, but I didn't believe in Adam
and Eve. My wife said, "If you don't stop
staring at that stupid apple I'm going to go
out there and eat it." "So go," I said, "but
take your clothes off first, go naked." She
looked at me as if I were insane, and then
she started to undress, and so did I.

Today I get to head to my dentist's office to get my teeth cleaned. Great people there, but there's something about the whole process that - well, leaves me less than filled with joy and enthusiasm.
To make a long story short, I decided to browse through my Lightroom library of photographs to see if it might be possible to find some little memory, decently caught, that would lighten my spirits. I did. I share. Oliver is in his favorite mode.
I'm not much for malls. We have nice ones, but I haven't darkened the door of one for close to a year. But the surprise that happened in one in Pennsylvania, shared by my sister, made me wonder at the possibilities.

The in thing since the ancient days of Dale Carnegie has been positive thinking.
Nothing takes the wind out of my sails more consistently than hearing reminders of the vital importance of constant positivism. I've never believed that. There's more to life than pretending you're happy when you are actually urinated off about something that you feel strongly about.
Ronni, in her wonderful blog, Time Goes By has a good one entitled "Grumpy is Good For You." I think you will get a kick out of it!
