Heaven knows I'm no expert, but it seems to me that our President is going to have to choose between possibly cleaning up the mess in Healthcare here and possibly cleaning up the mess over in Afghanistan.
There just doesn't seem to be the will or the money for both. I'm not confident about the prospects of succeeding in either, politics being what they are.
Further, I sometimes wonder why Germany, France, Russia and Israel (etc.) don't take over our military commitments in Afghanistan. They are much more vulnerable than we are, being located where they are. Then they aren't militarily and financially exhausted by continuous wars overseas as we most certainly are.
