While looking through my older blogs, I came across this nice comment from old friend John Staton. It came just two weeks after I started blogging in March. This is the kind of thing that whets the appetite and keeps us plugging away:
Roger, your musings are wonderful. both entertaining and thoughtful, full of joy in living, insightful into our time of history, contentment all over the place - with your longtime buddy and lover beside you all the way.
I’m tickled you’ve planted this site, and are adding to it daily. Photos are great too.
You have the freedom to give away, to change, to grow in unsuspected directions, and share with others who you are and the things you value.
I’ve just delighted this morning in reading a bit of all this richness, and truly thank you for such a gift at the beginning of another blahhhh Indiana day with spring still promised but evasive as hell.
Please greet JoAnn for me, the dogs, your citrus, your own weathered soul that keeps pilgrimage alive.
Love you, Jn
The beauty in this is how accurately John read the intent of blogging - at least my intent. Isn't it wonderful when, in a world of fractured relationships and lost values, there are those who see and hear and understand? I think so.
