I'm a balding octogenarian who lives with his wife, Jo Ann and 2 delightful Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Dickens and Oliver, in Surprise, Arizona.

We have 5 grown children spread out between Boston and Los Angeles. They, in turn, have 10 children of their own.

I am a retired clergyman who loved his job and managed to do some good in some nice cities and among good people along the way. Since retiring, I have done quite a bit of potting and am turning now to carving walking sticks and canes. I am also a Master Gardener.

Blogging has provided a surprising stimulus to a creative nature that has been somewhat dormant for some time. You will be reading some pretty unusual stuff!
